Sleep, Inc. d/b/a LatexMattress.org ("LatexMattress.org," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable law.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process personal information when you visit or interact with latexmattress.org; read educational, comparison, medical-condition, sleep-disorder, review, or recommendation content; follow links to affiliated or third-party sellers; communicate with us; submit a rating, review, form, promotion entry, or other content; enroll in email or SMS communications; use customer-service or AI-enabled features; or otherwise use services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").
It also describes privacy rights that may be available to you. Where applicable law requires consent or another authorization for a particular activity, we will seek that consent or authorization as required.
1. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by LatexMattress.org in connection with the Services, including our editorial and educational website, referral and affiliate activities, communications, ratings and reviews, marketing programs, and any direct transaction or account feature we may expressly offer.
It does not apply to:
- personal information processed solely in an employment or independent-contractor context where a separate notice applies;
- third-party websites, applications, platforms, or services governed by their own privacy practices;
- information lawfully exempt from applicable privacy laws; or
- information that has been deidentified, aggregated, or otherwise rendered incapable of reasonably identifying or being linked to an individual or household, where treated as non-personal information under applicable law.
Third-party websites and services linked from our Services are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
A. Identifiers and Contact Information
This may include name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, account or customer identifiers, IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, cookie identifiers, and similar identifiers associated with your browser, device, account, or interactions with us.
B. Account and Customer Information
This may include account credentials if an account feature is offered, communication preferences, customer-service history, review or rating activity, form submissions, privacy preferences, promotion participation, and records concerning your interactions with LatexMattress.org.
C. Transaction and Commercial Information
This may include mattress, topper, material, brand, manufacturer, retailer, or other products viewed or considered; links followed; referral or affiliate activity; promotional offers viewed; purchase or order information we may receive where permitted from an affiliated or third-party seller; and transaction information if LatexMattress.org is expressly identified as the seller in a direct transaction.
D. Payment and Financial Information
If LatexMattress.org is expressly identified as the seller in a direct transaction, payment-related information may include billing information, transaction identifiers, payment status, and information necessary for payment or fraud prevention. If you purchase from another seller after following a LatexMattress.org link, payment credentials are generally processed by that seller or its payment provider, not by LatexMattress.org.
E. Internet, Device, and Electronic Activity
This may include pages viewed; medical-condition or sleep-disorder topics viewed; articles, reviews, rankings, comparison pages, and product or retailer pages viewed; links clicked; searches; referring URLs; date and time of visits; interactions with advertisements or affiliate links; device type; operating system; browser; IP-derived information; cookie and device identifiers; advertising identifiers; and attribution or conversion information.
F. Approximate Location
We may infer approximate geographic location from an IP address, device information, referral information, or similar information. We do not ordinarily require precise geolocation information merely to read or use LatexMattress.org.
G. Communications and Customer-Service Information
When you communicate with LatexMattress.org by telephone, email, SMS, chat, contact form, social media, or another channel, we may process the contents of the communication; contact information; information concerning your question, rating, review, complaint, referral, promotion, privacy request, or other interaction; date and time; customer-service notes; and recordings or transcripts where applicable.
Where permitted by applicable law, calls, chats, or other communications may be monitored, recorded, or transcribed. Where applicable law requires notice, consent, or other authorization before recording, monitoring, or transcription, we will provide or obtain the required notice, consent, or authorization.
Please avoid providing medical, financial, or other sensitive information through customer-service communications unless reasonably necessary for your request. Health-related information voluntarily provided to LatexMattress.org may constitute Consumer Health Data and is additionally addressed in our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
H. Product Preferences and Recommendation Information
If you use a quiz, guide, comparison, product-selection, or recommendation feature, we may collect information such as sleeping position, comfort or firmness preferences, material preferences, temperature preferences, budget or price preferences, retailer or brand interests, and other information used to provide the content or recommendation you request. If you provide or reveal information about a health condition, pain, injury, allergy, sleep disorder, or other health-related concern, that information may constitute Consumer Health Data.
LatexMattress.org does not require you to provide medical diagnoses, injuries, treatments, medications, or medical records merely to read public content. However, because the Site contains pages devoted to medical conditions and sleep disorders, a visitor's page views, searches, communications, or other interactions may in some circumstances reveal or permit an inference concerning health interests or health status and may constitute Consumer Health Data under applicable law.
I. Inferences and Preferences
We may derive information such as likely product or material interests, mattress or retailer preferences, probable content interests, referral or purchase intent, advertising audiences, and editorial or product recommendations. We do not intentionally create health-condition advertising profiles from visits to medical-condition or sleep-disorder content.
J. Reviews and User-Generated Content
If you submit a review, testimonial, photograph, survey response, promotion entry, or similar content, we may process the information contained in your submission. Information you intentionally make public may become publicly available.
3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
Directly From You
For example, when you submit a form, rating, review, public comment, question, promotion entry, privacy request, email or SMS enrollment, or other communication; create an account if offered; or complete a direct transaction if LatexMattress.org is expressly identified as the seller.
Automatically
We and providers supporting our Services may collect information through technologies such as cookies, pixels, tags, APIs, software development kits, local storage, server-side technologies, web beacons, device identifiers, log files, and similar technologies.
From Other Sources
We may receive information from service providers; advertising and analytics providers; attribution and affiliate partners; affiliated brands and entities under common ownership or control, including where permitted in connection with a referral, service, or user-directed interaction; third-party retailers or manufacturers where permitted; review or social platforms; publicly available sources; another person acting at your direction; and other lawful business sources. We may combine information obtained from different sources where permitted by law.
4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

- provide articles, guides, reviews, rankings, comparisons, and other requested content;
- operate forms, ratings, reviews, accounts, promotions, and communication features;

- provide customer or editorial support;
- maintain accounts; and
- otherwise fulfill requests or interactions.
Personalizing Content and Recommendations
- remember preferences;
- recommend articles, mattress types, materials, products, brands, or sellers;
- provide relevant educational, comparison, review, or product information;
- operate product-selection features; and
- customize interactions with LatexMattress.org based on non-sensitive preferences where permitted.
Operating and Improving Our Business
- understand use of the Services;
- measure traffic and performance;
- analyze customer behavior;
- perform attribution;
- conduct website and conversion testing;
- improve products and Services;
- troubleshoot technical issues; and
- develop new functionality.
Advertising and Marketing
- communicate promotions or product information;
- display or measure advertising;
- understand advertising effectiveness;
- create or use advertising audiences where permitted;
- perform attribution;
- measure conversions;
- personalize advertising where permitted; and
- reduce irrelevant or repetitive advertising.
Certain advertising-related activities may constitute "sale," "sharing," or processing for "targeted advertising" under applicable privacy laws even when LatexMattress.org does not receive money for personal information.
Security and Fraud Prevention
We may use personal information to authenticate activity, prevent fraud and abuse, detect suspicious activity, protect accounts, secure the Services, investigate unlawful conduct, and protect LatexMattress.org, customers, and others.
Legal and Compliance Purposes
We may use personal information to comply with law, respond to lawful process, maintain tax and accounting records, enforce agreements, protect legal rights, investigate violations, comply with litigation holds, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Corporate Transactions
We may process or disclose information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, investment, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
5. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATED TECHNOLOGIES
LatexMattress.org may use artificial intelligence ("AI"), machine learning, automated systems, recommendation technologies, generative AI, or AI-enabled services in connection with our business and Services.
These technologies may assist with answering questions; search and navigation; summarizing or categorizing content; customer support; analyzing website performance; identifying trends; security and fraud detection; content assistance; improving editorial or recommendation workflows; and supporting internal operations.
Information provided through an AI-enabled feature may be processed by LatexMattress.org and by service providers that provide, host, operate, or support the applicable technology.
Large Language Model Training
LatexMattress.org does not sell personal data for the purpose of training large language models.
LatexMattress.org does not use customer personal data to train general-purpose large language models for LatexMattress.org.
We may permit providers to process personal information as reasonably necessary to provide AI-enabled functionality or services to LatexMattress.org.
We do not authorize service providers acting on our behalf to use identifiable LatexMattress.org customer personal information to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence or large-language models for their own independent purposes unless additional disclosure or consent is provided where required by applicable law.
This does not prevent legally permitted activities such as providing AI functionality requested by a customer; quality assurance; security; fraud prevention; evaluating system performance; improving LatexMattress.org-specific workflows, configurations, retrieval systems, or customer-service processes; correcting technical errors; or using lawfully deidentified or aggregated information.
AI-Generated Information
AI-generated responses or recommendations may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. AI-enabled LatexMattress.org features are not intended to provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. An AI response concerning a mattress, medical-condition article, sleep disorder, comfort, pressure relief, or product comparison should not be treated as a medical diagnosis or treatment recommendation.
Automated Decision-Making
LatexMattress.org does not use solely automated processing to make decisions concerning consumers that produce legal or similarly significant effects unless disclosed and permitted under applicable law.
6. COOKIES, PIXELS, ANALYTICS, AND ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES
LatexMattress.org and providers supporting our Services use cookies, pixels, tags, APIs, server-side technologies, device identifiers, and similar technologies.
Necessary and Operational Functions
These technologies may support forms, ratings or reviews, accounts if offered, privacy preferences, authentication, security, fraud prevention, and core website operation. If LatexMattress.org offers a direct transaction, necessary technologies may also support checkout and payment-related functionality.
Analytics and Measurement
These technologies may measure visits, understand use of the Services, analyze article and topic interest, identify errors, evaluate website performance, and measure advertising, affiliate, referral, or conversion performance.
Personalization and Functionality
These technologies may remember preferences, support recommendations, customer-service or chat features, and website customization.
Advertising and Attribution
These technologies may attribute visits, referrals, purchases, or other actions to advertising or affiliate links; measure campaign or referral effectiveness; create or use advertising audiences where permitted; limit duplicate advertising; support relevant advertising; and measure conversions.
The particular providers and technologies we use may change over time. You may manage certain technologies through our website privacy controls, browser or device settings, or other legally recognized privacy mechanisms. Because the Site includes health-related content, we seek to avoid intentionally transmitting health-condition page context, health-related search terms, or similar Consumer Health Data to advertising platforms for targeted advertising in circumstances prohibited by law or requiring authorization that has not been obtained.
Certain technologies necessary for security, transactions, website operation, legally permitted measurement, or other non-targeted purposes may continue operating after you exercise an advertising-related opt-out where permitted by law.
7. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
Service Providers and Contractors
We may disclose personal information to providers supporting website hosting and cloud services, content delivery, forms, ratings and reviews, communications, email and SMS services, analytics, affiliate and referral attribution, advertising and measurement, website optimization, recommendation technologies, AI-enabled services, cybersecurity, professional services, privacy-request administration, and other business operations. If LatexMattress.org offers a direct transaction, providers may also support payment processing, fraud prevention, fulfillment, shipping, or related transaction functions.
Payment Providers for Direct Transactions, If Any
If LatexMattress.org is expressly identified as the seller in a direct transaction, information necessary to process the transaction may be processed by payment processors or fraud-prevention providers. Purchases from other sellers are generally processed by those sellers and their providers.
Affiliated Brands, Referral Partners, Manufacturers, Retailers, and Other Sellers
LatexMattress.org may link to or refer users to affiliated or third-party brands, manufacturers, retailers, and other sellers. Where permitted by law and applicable terms, we may receive referral, attribution, purchase-status, service, or other information concerning that interaction. A purchase from another seller does not by itself constitute consent to independent LatexMattress.org promotional email or SMS marketing where separate consent is required.
Advertising, Analytics, and Measurement Providers
We may disclose identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, device information, approximate location information, and related information to providers that support advertising, analytics, attribution, social-media advertising, or measurement. Some such activities may constitute sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law.
Fulfillment or Service Providers for Direct Transactions, If Any
If LatexMattress.org is expressly identified as the seller or direct provider in a transaction, we may disclose information to carriers, fulfillment providers, or others reasonably necessary to fulfill that transaction. Otherwise, product fulfillment is ordinarily handled by the applicable seller.
Affiliates and Related Entities
We may disclose information among entities under common ownership or control, including Sleep, Inc. brands, for legitimate administrative, security, legal, customer-service, referral, attribution, fraud-prevention, or other permitted business purposes. We do not treat a LatexMattress.org email or SMS signup as automatic consent to receive promotional marketing from another Sleep, Inc. brand where separate consent or disclosure is required.
Professional Advisors, Legal Recipients, and Corporate Transactions
We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, government authorities, regulators, courts, law-enforcement authorities, and participants in actual or proposed corporate transactions where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
At Your Direction
We may disclose information where you direct us to do so or provide legally valid consent.
8. SALE, SHARING, AND TARGETED ADVERTISING
LatexMattress.org does not sell personal information to third parties in exchange for money.
However, certain privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," and "targeted advertising" broadly. As a result, disclosures through certain advertising, analytics, attribution, social-media, or similar technologies may constitute sale, sharing, or targeted advertising even where LatexMattress.org receives no money for the information.
During the preceding 12 months, depending upon the technologies in use and your interaction with the Services, categories that may have been disclosed in a manner that may constitute sale, sharing, or targeted advertising include identifiers; commercial or referral information; internet or electronic activity; approximate geolocation information; and inferences such as product, brand, retailer, article, or content interests.
Recipient categories may include advertising platforms and networks, social-media platforms, analytics providers, attribution providers, advertising-measurement providers, and similar advertising technology providers.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Use for Targeted Advertising
- passwords or authentication credentials;
- full payment-card credentials;
- Consumer Health Data;
- medical diagnoses, health conditions, symptoms, injuries, medications, treatments, or other Consumer Health Data voluntarily provided to LatexMattress.org;
- the substantive contents of private customer-service communications for creating third-party advertising audiences; or
- other information where applicable law prohibits such processing.
Your Privacy Choices
Residents of certain jurisdictions may have the right to opt out of sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and certain related profiling.
You may exercise applicable rights through the "Your Privacy Choices," "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," or similar privacy-control mechanism available on our website.
Where required by applicable law, LatexMattress.org processes qualifying browser- or device-based universal opt-out preference signals, including qualifying Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signals, as requests to opt out of applicable sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising processing.
A browser- or device-based signal generally applies to the browser, device, and associated pseudonymous profile through which it is received, and more broadly where required by applicable law and technically applicable.
Certain processing that does not constitute sale, sharing, or targeted advertising may continue following an opt-out, including processing reasonably necessary for requested products or services, transactions, website functionality, security, fraud prevention, privacy-preference management, legally permitted analytics or measurement, legal compliance, or other processing permitted by applicable law.
9. EMAIL, SMS, AND OTHER MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Promotional Email
Where permitted by law, LatexMattress.org may send promotional email concerning Site content, mattress education, product or retailer information, offers, promotions, or recommendations. You may unsubscribe through the unsubscribe link included in a promotional email or by contacting us.
An unsubscribe does not prevent us from sending non-promotional communications reasonably necessary for our relationship with you, such as responses to questions, privacy or security notices, account or service communications, promotion-administration messages, or transaction communications if LatexMattress.org is expressly identified as the seller in a direct transaction.
We may maintain limited suppression information necessary to honor an unsubscribe request.
Information received from an affiliated or third-party seller in connection with a referral, service request, or purchase does not by itself constitute independent consent to LatexMattress.org promotional email or SMS marketing where applicable law requires separate consent.
SMS and Text Messages
If you affirmatively enroll in a LatexMattress.org SMS program, LatexMattress.org and service providers acting on our behalf may use your telephone number and related information to administer that program in accordance with your consent and applicable law.
Promotional messages may include content updates, product or retailer information, offers, promotions, referral-related communications, or other permitted marketing messages.
Consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of promotional SMS messages by following the instructions provided in the message, including replying STOP where applicable.
SMS Consent Information
LatexMattress.org does not sell SMS opt-in consent or telephone-number information to third parties for their own independent marketing.
We may disclose telephone numbers, consent records, message data, and opt-out information to providers acting on our behalf as reasonably necessary to operate the program, deliver messages, maintain consent or suppression records, process opt-outs, provide customer service, prevent fraud, or comply with law.
Consent Records
We may maintain records concerning when and how marketing consent was obtained, consent language, enrollment source, applicable contact information, unsubscribe or STOP requests, and suppression status.
10. RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
LatexMattress.org retains personal information for no longer than reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, subject to applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, litigation, and, where applicable, direct-transaction or warranty requirements.
Retention periods vary by category. We generally apply the following criteria:
| Information Category | General Retention Criteria |
|---|---|
| Direct transactions, referrals, affiliate, and commercial records | As reasonably necessary to complete any direct transaction, document referral or affiliate activity, support users, prevent fraud, comply with accounting or legal requirements, and establish or defend legal claims. |
| Accounts, submissions, contact, ratings, and review information | While the account, submission, review, communication, or other relationship remains relevant and thereafter as reasonably necessary for service, moderation, security, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or disputes. |
| Payment and financing information | Transaction records as reasonably necessary for payment, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal purposes; full credentials may be retained by payment or financing providers. |
| Communications, questions, and support records | As reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support records, conduct quality assurance, resolve disputes, protect security, and defend legal rights. |
| Marketing information and preferences | While relevant to the marketing relationship and thereafter as necessary to maintain suppression, consent, or compliance records. |
| Website, analytics, advertising, and device information | According to its purpose, applicable privacy choices, system settings, analytics and attribution needs, security, fraud prevention, and legal requirements. |
| Sensitive or Consumer Health Data | Only as reasonably necessary for the requested interaction, legally permitted purpose, applicable consent, security, legal obligation, or other purpose allowed by applicable Consumer Health Data law. |
| Legal, security, and compliance records | For applicable legal or regulatory periods or as reasonably necessary to investigate incidents, prevent fraud, comply with law, or establish or defend claims. |
Information may be retained longer where reasonably necessary because of a legal hold, investigation, dispute, litigation, regulatory requirement, fraud or security concern, an applicable direct-transaction or warranty obligation, or another legally permitted need.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, destroy, deidentify, aggregate, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and our information-management practices.
11. SECURITY
LatexMattress.org maintains administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information in a manner reasonable and appropriate in light of the nature, volume, sensitivity, and circumstances of the information we process and associated risks.
Our security practices are designed to support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal information and reduce reasonably foreseeable risks of unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.
We periodically evaluate and update security practices as appropriate in light of changes in our business, technology, legal requirements, risks, and information processed.
Where providers process personal information on our behalf, we may use contractual, diligence, or other risk-management measures appropriate to the relationship and information involved.
No Internet transmission, electronic storage method, network, system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of credentials associated with your account and notifying us if you believe your account or information may have been compromised.
12. U.S. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
Residents of certain U.S. states may have privacy rights under applicable law. Depending on your jurisdiction, the information involved, and statutory requirements or exceptions, these rights may include the right to:
- confirm whether LatexMattress.org processes personal information concerning you;
- access personal information;
- obtain categories or specific pieces of information;
- learn the categories of sources from which information was collected;
- learn the purposes for processing;
- learn the categories of information disclosed, sold, or shared;
- learn categories of recipients;
- obtain a portable copy of certain information;
- correct inaccurate information;

- opt out of targeted advertising;
- opt out of certain profiling or automated-decision activities;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive information where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing depends upon consent;

Not every right applies in every jurisdiction or circumstance.

Please identify your request as a Privacy Request and describe the right you wish to exercise. Different methods may be appropriate for different rights.
Universal Opt-Out Preference Signals
Where required by law, LatexMattress.org recognizes qualifying universal opt-out preference signals, including qualifying Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signals. We will treat a qualifying signal as a request to opt out of the sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising processing to which the signal legally applies.
We will not require you to provide additional identifying information solely to honor an applicable browser- or device-level opt-out signal. If a legally recognized signal conflicts with a prior LatexMattress.org-specific preference permitting applicable sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will honor the signal to the extent required by law unless and until legally valid consent is subsequently provided.
Verification
For access, deletion, correction, portability, or other rights where verification is appropriate or required, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity. We will request only information reasonably necessary to authenticate and process the request.
Where permitted by law, we may decline or limit requests where we cannot reasonably authenticate them, a statutory exception applies, the request is fraudulent or abusive, another person's rights would be adversely affected, or information must be retained for legally permitted purposes.
Authorized Agents and Appeals
Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may request reasonable evidence of the agent's authority and verify identities as permitted by law.
Where applicable law provides a right to appeal a privacy-request decision, an appeal may be submitted through the original request method or by emailing support@latexmattress.org with the subject line Privacy Appeal. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Sensitive Personal Information and Non-Discrimination
Where applicable law provides enhanced protections for sensitive personal information, LatexMattress.org will provide required consent, limitation rights, or other protections. Consumer Health Data is additionally addressed in our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
LatexMattress.org will not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. This does not prevent lawful discounts, promotions, loyalty programs, or services that reasonably require particular information where permitted by law.
13. CONSUMER HEALTH DATA
LatexMattress.org publishes substantial content concerning medical conditions, pain, injuries, allergies, sleep disorders, sleep deprivation, and other health-related topics. You do not need to provide a diagnosis or medical record merely to read public content.
However, depending on applicable law and context, visits to, searches for, or interactions with pages concerning conditions such as back pain, spinal injury, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, arthritis, sciatica, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, allergies, or similar health topics may reveal or permit an inference about a consumer's health interests or health status. Health-related information may also be voluntarily disclosed in forms, reviews, emails, chats, phone calls, or other communications.
Certain health-related page-view, search, device, communication, review, or inference information may therefore constitute Consumer Health Data. We do not treat a visit to a health-related article as proof that the visitor personally has the condition discussed, but applicable law may regulate information that identifies, reveals, or permits an inference concerning health status.
LatexMattress.org maintains a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describing the Consumer Health Data we may collect or receive, permitted purposes, categories of recipients, restrictions on sale and targeted advertising, consumer rights, and methods for submitting Consumer Health Data privacy requests.
The Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy applies to the extent required by applicable law and should be read together with this Privacy Policy.
14. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY
California residents should also review our separate California Privacy Notice, which supplements this Privacy Policy and provides the California-specific disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended.
The California Privacy Notice describes the categories of Personal Information collected, sources and purposes, categories sold or shared as those terms are defined by California law, business-purpose disclosures, Sensitive Personal Information, California privacy rights, and Global Privacy Control.
Where this Privacy Policy and the California Privacy Notice address the same California-specific subject, they should be read together as a single privacy disclosure.
15. CHILDREN AND TEENS
The Services are intended for a general audience of adult mattress shoppers and readers and are not directed to children. Health and sleep content is provided for general informational purposes and is not designed as a child-directed health service.
LatexMattress.org does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 in circumstances where the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act requires verifiable parental consent unless the required consent has been obtained.
If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to address or delete the information as required.
Minors
Certain state laws provide additional protections to minors. Where LatexMattress.org knows, or applicable law requires us to treat a consumer as, a minor under 18, LatexMattress.org does not knowingly sell that consumer's personal information, use that consumer's information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising where prohibited by law, or engage in profiling or other processing concerning the consumer where prohibited by law.
These protections apply according to applicable statutory age thresholds, knowledge standards, definitions, and exceptions. LatexMattress.org does not intentionally identify children or teenagers for the purpose of creating advertising audiences.
California Consumers Under 16
Where the CCPA applies, LatexMattress.org does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 without the affirmative authorization required by California law.
Requests Concerning Children
Parents or legal guardians who believe a child has provided personal information to LatexMattress.org in circumstances governed by applicable children's privacy law may contact support@latexmattress.org. We may take reasonable steps to verify the requesting person's identity, the identity of the child, and authority to act on the child's behalf where appropriate.
16. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND SOCIAL MEDIA
The Services may contain links to or integrations with affiliated or third-party brands, retailers, manufacturers, marketplaces, scientific or health-information sources, social platforms, payment providers, videos, review services, or other services. Third parties may collect personal information independently from LatexMattress.org. Their activities are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. LatexMattress.org is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of unaffiliated third parties, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
17. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
LatexMattress.org is based in the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where LatexMattress.org, our providers, affiliates, or business partners operate. Privacy laws may differ between jurisdictions. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we and our providers may use legally recognized contractual or other transfer mechanisms.
18. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law or regulatory guidance; our products or Services; categories of information collected; processing purposes; technologies or providers; advertising, analytics, or AI practices; security or compliance requirements; or other business or legal developments.
When we update this Policy, we will revise the Last Updated date shown above.
Material Changes
If we make a material change to this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, we will provide any additional notice required by applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, notice may be provided through a conspicuous website notice, a notice through the relevant product or feature, email or another electronic communication, an account notice, or another method reasonably designed to notify affected consumers.
Where applicable law requires consent before previously collected information is used for a materially different purpose, or requires an opportunity to withdraw consent following a material change, we will provide the applicable choice before engaging in the processing to which that requirement applies.
We will not rely solely on continued use of the Services as consent to a materially different collection, use, sale, sharing, transfer, or other processing where applicable law requires affirmative consent or another specific authorization.
Nothing prevents LatexMattress.org from making non-material clarifications, corrections, formatting changes, or updates reflecting existing practices without individualized notice unless law requires otherwise.
